IT & Finance Transformation, Operating Model Design
Facing a cost imbalance driven by over-scaling and hiring into a difficult funding environment, our client needed to create a new product & tech operating model to improve product velocity and business impact with a leaner model.

Assessing the existing org and operating models as well as enterprise architecture, we created a global technology organization in Portugal, Vietnam and The Phillipines while deploying a new Product Ops model that focused on ranking the product backlog by business impact and keeping product teams focused on the top 1-3 programs by team.

Product rollouts were reprioritized and reduced toward the highest priorities, resulting in a $4.5M annual cost reduction and a 15% organic growth in the company’s most strategic product lines.
A cloud infrastructure company going through organizational transformation needed to adopt an agile dev-ops approach and a product-driven mindset for its IaaS offerings

Our team performed an Agile readiness assessment for the CIO of the existing organization and processes and delivered recommendations to the CIO leadership team for the to-be delivery and org model. We also implemented and delivered an Agile coaching program and prepared the leadership team for the upcoming org model.

The change turned around and delivered a complex product offering rollout on time and budget while leading the CIO organization through the transformation.
Our client needed to modernize toward a service-oriented, private cloud eCommerce platform to compete with Amazon in the space. We assessed the current infrastructure and the Product & WebOps organizational model to define the next generation architecture and operating model.

We created a Roadmap and Org Model for the new Product & DevOps organizations, including role to position mapping, training and talent acquisition plans.

The Product roadmap and architecture delivered a new global eCommerce platform that led to a 5% increase in market share and allowed the company to deploy a seller marketplace to compete with Amazon
The company needed to prepare for an IPO and had a back-office system landscape featuring homegrown applications that would not be compliant in a publicly traded company.

We created a business transformation roadmap and organizational/operating model to migrate critical applications to compliant commercial SaaS applications and created an effective product ops model to maintain the ‘wrap-around’ homegrown applications that remained.

The CIO organization lacked a product management mindset. We defined the product and engineering organization model and partnered with Big 4 SIs to represent the client’s interests in leading the Program and manage third-party vendors effectively, generating a $4 million savings in the program .
